Prerequisites
- Download the file in the given link before starting the process. Download it from here.
- Also enable the Android Debugging on your device from Developer Option in the Setting menu of your phone.
Now follow the steps given below to begin the process.
Step 1: Extract the content of the “cwm5ics.rar” file that you have downloaded from the above link at a convenient place.
Step 2: You will find a folder named ADB in the extracted folder which contains the ADB drivers you need to install. These drivers are necessary to detect your device when you connect it to the PC.
Step 3: After installing the ADB drivers connect you device to the PC.
Step 4: Now open the “cmw5ics” folder. There you are going to find a file named “Recovery install.bat”. Run it to start the process.
Step 5: Now a command prompt window will open on your screen where you will find a set of instructions. Select the 1st option by entering “1” on the screen and then pressing enter. This will start installation of ClockworkMod Recovery on your device.
Step 6: After the installation is complete, the menu is going to reappear on your CMD screen. Now press 2 and then hit enter to reboot your device in CWM recovery.
Step 7: As your device reboots, disconnect it from your PC.
